Virginia L. Vance

Virginia L. Vance passed away after a short illness on June 29 at the age of 72. Widow of Ralph, she is survived by her son, Marc D. Vance and her daughter, Valerie A. Powell and their spouses, Debbie and Clay. She was the loving grandmother of Lera Powell. Virginia enjoyed a full life of varied interests, including membership in the Rocky Mountain Cadillac-LaSalle Club and the United Solo Fliers. She was retired from Elk Creek Fire Department where she served on the Board of Directors. She lived over 30 years in Conifer where she took an active interest in community affairs. An avid Broncos fan, she also volunteered at St. Anthony Hospital and with the Westernaires. A Memorial Service will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., in Lakewood, at 6:00 PM on July 6, followed immediately by a reception at the same location. Burial will take place at a later date in Portales, NM.
