Vladimir Yurivich Anosov

Vladimir Yurivich Anosov, 61, of Englewood was killed in a traffic accident on December 7th, 2005. He was born in Kazan, Russia on September 9, 1944. At the age of 19, he was drafted into the Soviet Army where he was later commissioned as an officer serving as a translator of Persian and Farsi dialects. He had tours of duty in Afghanistan, Iraq, Algeria, and others. When he retired from the military, he worked as a translator for the Russian Government. He immigrated to the United States in 1990 settling in Denver, and worked as a local taxi driver the last 14 years. He was married to Tatiana Danilova, and they were about to celebrate their 25th anniversary this January. Vladimir was extremely proud of his two children Yuriy, 21, a student at the University of Colorado, and Katya, 17, a Junior at Cherry Creek High School. His main goal in life was to see his kids become successful. The Vladimir Anosov Memorial Fund has been set up at Wells Fargo. Services will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, at Colorado & Mississippi on Friday at 3:00 PM.
