W. Thomas ""Tom"" Murnan

Tom was born in Denver, Colorado, was born on June 8, 1936 to the late Warren Thomas ""Mickey"" Murnan and Ruth ""Momo"" Mattison. He passed in the company of his family on August 16, 2017 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 81. Tom was a Denver Public Schools Teacher and Administrator for many years and the Czar of a loving Irish family. Tom is survived by his sisters, Anita Ruth (Walter P. ""Dusty"" Murnan) Saunders and Ruth Margaret ""Peg"" (The Late Jack Reed) Murnan; his children, Mark Thomas Murnan, Mary Therese ""Tracy"" (John E.) Murnan Stackhouse, and John Martin (Susan L.) Murnan; grandchildren Mark Thomas Murnan II, Michael Curtis Murnan, Zachary John (Carolyn A. Demanelis) Stackhouse, Maya Therese Stackhouse, Chelsea Lynn Murnan, Denali Marie Murnan, and Mackenzie Susitna Murnan; and nieces and nephews, Kathleen Saunders, Patrick Saunders, Stephen Saunders, Bryan Saunders, Daker Warren, Louis Warren, Clay Warren, Elizabeth Warren Madaris, Lisa Gamel Scott, David Gamel, Leslie Gamel, and Lara Gamel Wohllaib. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 51 years, Joan Marie Murnan. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Paul Lutheran & Roman Catholic Community of Faith, 1600 Grant Street, Denver, Colorado 80203. Interment will take place at 1:00PM following the Funeral Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. A Traditional Irish Wake will also be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00PM at the Murnan Residence. In lieu of flowers, please consider a Memorial Contribution in W.
