Walburga Angel, age 93, passed away at the Legend of Broomfield due to complications from a fall and a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in the Czech Republic and left there when she was 15 at the end of World War II. She made here home in Germany and met and married Roy T. Angel, an American Army soldier. They were married for 54 years before his passing in 2009.
Walburga loved her family and caring for her house and gardening. She received many compliments from neighbors about her beautiful flowers.
Walburga is survived by her son, Paul Angel (Debbie), daughters, Jane Halsey, (Richard) and Carol Schneeberger (Tom), eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings in Germany, and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty in Thornton, CO on Thursday, February 1st at 11:00 a.m. Private burial services will be held at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs, CO.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. We hope she is once again reunited with her husband Roy in heaven.
