Wallace E. Jenkins

Gene Jenkins, 90, passed away on March 3, 2019. He was born on January 27, 1929 in Eureka, Utah to Belle and Hyrum Jenkins. Gene is survived by his two daughters, Pola Metz and Jenine McQuaid, and his four Grandchildren: Garrett and Kylie Metz and Wesley and Riley McQuaid. Gene served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He was married to the love of his life, Sherry Jenkins, for 64 years. They enjoyed many adventures together and loved to entertain, golf, and travel. Gene was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Gene was loved by many and he will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held on March 13, 2019 at 1:00pm at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado (455 Sherman St., Suite 500, Denver, CO 80203).
