Wallace Wendell Williams, II

December 14, 1945 — May 6, 2013

Wendell was born on December 14, 1945. He passed from this world on May 6, 2013. He was the only son of Dorothy and Wally Williams both of whom preceded him in death. Wendell grew up in Denver, attended Park Hill Elementary School, then enjoyed his junior high and high school years at Denver Country Day School. He graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin with a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy. Wendell worked in the family business; the Law & Sons Casket Co., and eventually took over the management of the company. He was also a member of the National Guard Reserve. Wendell loved to fly fish and made his own flies. He was out fishing every chance he got. He also invented the ""fly-line-minder"" to help hold the fly fishing line so it would not tangle. He enjoyed carving and created many birds, Santa Claus statues and molds. Wendell is survived by his sister Teddy, his nieces Dunreath, Perrilyn, and Mickel; nephew Stephan; and cousin Barbara. Services will be held Friday May 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home 1091 S. Colorado Blvd in Denver. Reception to follow at 11:30 am and interment at Fairmount Cemetery at 1:00pm (430 S. Quebec, Denver)
