Walter âWallyâ Melvin Flanagan, 69, passed away on Monday, July 3rd 2017 in Denver, Colorado. He was born May 30, 1948 to Melvin Flanagan and Mildred Howe in Denver, Colorado. Wally was proud of his only daughter Stacey Fine and her husband Jason, of Arizona. He is also survived by two loving sisters, Susan Streeter and her husband Steve Rogers, and Roni Randall; his brother Michael (Pam) Flanagan and his father Melvin (Ursula) Flanagan; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wally was a proud father, brother and friend to all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, stepmother Josephine Flanagan, and brother James Flanagan. Wally worked and retired as the Vice President of Walt Flanagan & Co and loved the family business. He enjoyed watching football, gardening, gambling, cooking for others and playing with his puppy Lola. He also was an avid collector of John Wayne and all sports memorabilia he could find. Wally proudly took loving care of his stepmother Josephine during her last 3 years of life along with his sister Susan. Family was a very important part of his life and we thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him. At Wallyâs request, no services will be held at this time. His ashes are in Arizona with his daughter and in Colorado with his sister Susan and favorite brother-n-law Steve per Wallyâs wish.
