Walter W. Harris

Walter W. Harris was born in Roby, Texas, on May 30, 1931 to Bedford and Violet Dunn Harris. He died December 27, 2009 in Arvada, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rachel Brimhall Harris; daughter, Melissa Harris; sons, Roger W. Harris and Stewart T. Harris; brothers, Waylon, Roy and Bobby Joe; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. His son, Clifton; daughter, Gale; and granddaughter, Chantell preceded him in death. He worked for the D&RGW Railroad for almost 44 years as Telegrapher and Train Dispatcher. Walter enjoyed family, bragging about his kids, trout fishing, hunting, reading and working for the railroad and talking about railroading throughout retirement.
