Walter J. Harris

Walter J. Harris passed away February 4, 2016 at the age of 78. He was born November 18, 1937 to John D. and Austella (Allen) Harris in Selma, Alabama. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, W. Ruth (Madison) Harris; children Keith (Erica) Gregory, De Anne (Karim) Harris-Muhammad, Johanna (Orin) Goodings-Paul, Bill (Kathy) Barstnar, Eric (Dena) Figueroa, Karyn (Brian) Hoffman; grandchildren Megan (Rafael) Mendoza, Aliya Muhammad, Soleil Muhammad, Bathsheva Paul, Matt Barstnar, Bekah Barstnar, Louie Figueroa, Monique Figueroa, Glenn Figueroa, Ben Hoffman, Rachael Hoffman, Abigail Hoffman; great grandchildren Jonathan Gregory, Jaxon Lucas, and Adrian Mendoza; brother Roosevelt (Barbara) Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Viola Morton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 beginning at 10:00 in the morning at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, in Aurora.
