Warren Edward Foote

Warren Edward Foote, 88 Born in Chicago, IL in 1922. Moved to Green Bay, WI at an early age and he considered Green Bay his home. Survived by wife Virginia, daughters Stephanie Foote (Lloyd Wade), Julie O'Hanlon (Dennis), Mary Jean Gearhart, and son George Foote (Sue). Nine grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Warren is an Eagle Scout, was a Wisconsin State Champion track star. He was a student at the University of Wisconsin in 1941 and enlisted in U.S. Air Corps Cadets after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He became a fighter pilot flying P-47 Thunderbolts in the European Theater, including 3 missions over the Normandy Beaches on D-Day. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross among other medals. After discharge from the U.S. Army Air Corps, Warren returned to his studies at the University of Wisconsin where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed at the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, retiring in 1986 as Chief of Technical Publications. Viewing will at 9:30am and the Funeral Service will at 10:30am on September 28, 2010 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood, CO 80227 Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:15pm, Staging Area ""C"".
