Wayne L. Gustin

Wayne Leroy Gustin, age 80, of Aurora, CO passed Feb. 22, 2016. He was born on May 31, 1935 in Denver, CO to Harry & Eleanor Gustin. Wayne worked for 36 years & later retired as a Consumer Service Manager for Xcel Energy. He understood the importance of education and put himself through the University of Colorado to receive 2 Bachelor's degrees. He lived his life with great ambition to achieve life dreams, including a trip to Alaska for fishing and hunting in 1995 & receiving his pilot's license in his mid-60's. He was an avid Broncos fan and owned season tickets for over 50 years. Wayne was a dedicated family man, who loved and served his family. He will be remembered as a mentor to many & for his great sense of humor. Wayne is survived by his wife, Ruth Gustin; 3 children, Jacque Graff (David), Greg Gustin (Karen), Scott Gustin (Kathy Friesen); 6 grandchildren, Cori Princell (Stefan Gary), Lindsay Harris- Gustin, Willy, Carly, Jaimie & Harry Gustin; 2 greatgrandchildren, Felix and Julia Gary; and sister Diane Murray (Joe) and her son Keith. Wayne requested private services for the family to gather at the cabin and spread his remains. Memorial Funds may be contributed to the Boys Club of Denver: 2017 W 9th Avenue, Denver, Co 80204.
