Harlan Wayne Powledge, Jr. passed away on March 22nd, 2019.
Wayne Powledge was born on April 15, 1953 to Harlan and Nadine Powledge in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Northglenn High School in 1971, and then started college at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado where he transferred to University of Colorado, Boulder to earn his Bachelor's Degree in political science in 1976.
Wayne worked for St. Thomas Steel in Arvada for the past 25 years. He was an avid runner and ran in the Emerald City Marathon in Seattle Washington, and the Denver International Marathon in Denver, Colo., where he earned a medal in both races. He loved to work with his hands and creating things with wood. He always loved to learn new things, from photography to cooking. Wayne was an avid football fan and a Denver Broncos fan from very early on in his life. He loved to golf, collected all things nautical and loved to head out into the ocean while boating.
Wayne is survived by his daughters, Simone & Dustee, Sister, Patricia (Robert) Schneider, brother, James (Penny) Powledge, niece Karlea Digiacomo (Doug, Ella, Lincoln), nephews, Drew (Bergen, Gemma) and James Jr.(Sarah, Nadine). Nephew of Charles (Sylvia) Powledge.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019, 1pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood.
