Waynette E. Krier
December 15, 1933-April 27, 2021
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Waynette E. Krier, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend to all she touched, on April 27, 2021.
She passed while sleeping peacefully at her residence in Littleton, CO. She was 87.
Born in Denver, CO in 1933, she witnessed incredible changes to her world, beginning with her family's move to Virginia while her father, Ken Hiatt served in World War II. The family endured life-changing health issues and the Great Depression.
In 1954, Waynette met her husband Vern Krier at the Rainbow Dance Hall in Denver. Their first date was on St. Patrick's Day at Duffy's Tavern in downtown Denver followed by dancing at the Shirley Savory Hotel. It was the beginning of a true love story that lasted 67 years.
She was the beloved mother of Robert (Janet), Ronald (Mary), Teri (Greg), proud Grandmother of Aaron (Terri), Christine (Richard), Timothy (Chelsea), Rebecca (Patrick), Elliotte, and Great-Grandmother of Colton, Charlotte and Easton, Brother-in-law Gayle Haden and nieces Julie (Scott) Chambers, and Kari Haden. She was proceeded in death by her Father Ken Hiatt and Mother Margaret Hiatt, and Sister Kay Haden. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Waynette lived a full life as a wonderful matriarch to the family, homemaker and had a 30 plus year career in the Telephone Industry.
She enjoyed attending plays and musicals. Waynette was involved in church volunteer work, and kept a welcoming home. Waynette enjoyed many hobbies which included needle point, oil paintings and porcelain dolls. She enjoyed playing cards, Mahjong, and the piano. Waynette also loved to read and watch movies,
Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever live in our hearts.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Waynette 's life will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 W. Chatfield Ave., Littleton, CO. on May 27, 2021 at 10:30 am.
