Werner Frank Wehling

September 24, 1929 — March 7, 2014

Werner Frank ""Dutch"" Wehling, 84, passed on March 7, 2014. ""Dutch"", born in Ilion, NY, served in the United States Air Force as a Radar Technician during the Korean Conflict from 1950 - 1954. He received National Defense Service, Good Conduct, Korean Service and United Nations Service medals for his honorable service. He began his engineering career with Glen L. Martin Company in 1958, and retired from Martin Marietta in 1993. He was also a volunteer fire fighter for Sheridan and Littleton fire districts. Beloved husband of Colleen for 59 years; loving father of Cheryl Wehling and Lori A. (Phillip, Jr.) Mitchell; and proud grandfather of Phillip, III and Caitlin Mitchell. A Memorial Service with Military honors will be held Friday, March 14, 3:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area ""A"". A reception will follow at 4:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
