Wesley Evan Snyder

Wesley Evan Snyder, 26, of Lone Tree, passed away on October 6, 2012. Wes is survived by his parents Steven and Merry Snyder, and his brother Eric (and wife Rebekah) Snyder. Wes was born in and lived most of his life in the southeast Denver areas except for the time he devoted to serving his country in the United States Marine Corp from July 2004 through August 2008. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served in the 2/11 Echo Artillery Battery. Wes completed a 7 month tour of duty in Ramadi, Anbar Province of Iraq. Wes was a graduate at Arapahoe High School in 2004. He was a student at the University of Colorado Denver at the time of his death. He planned to use his studies in psychology to help his fellow veterans. Wes was always on target with his quick wit and his smile always made one wonder what he was up to. He will be greatly missed by both his family and friends. A public visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 4pm - 8pm, and the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11am; both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street) in Centennial, Colorado 80122. A Committal Service will be on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2:30pm, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Pavilion 'B', 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235. In lieu of flowers, the family requesting donations be made in Wes' name to the Semper Fi Fund. This organization provides financial assistance to injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
