William Mohn Amato

November 20, 1978 — March 23, 2019

William Mohn Amato died Saturday March 23, 2019.

William, was born in Trinidad, Colorado November 20,1978 to Ron and Ellen. He was the beloved baby brother of Sam and the adored big brother of Char. He was raised in Pueblo from 1986 until Highschool Graduation from Centennial High Class of 1997. He enjoyed natural humor, musicianship, and athleticism. His heart had a large space for furry family and he always enjoyed having a loved animal close. He joined the US Army while in high school and left for initial training shortly after graduation. After serving his country and community, and having distinguished himself, receiving many awards, medals and accommodations, he enrolled at CU Boulder for his undergraduate degree. There he was a double major and member of Alpha Kappa Delta; International Honor Society. Will obtained his Juris Doctorate at University of Denver, Strum College of Law. He was proud of his ability to effectively and honorably serve his clients and that was reflected in his work ethic and his court records.

William and Kacey Harris welcomed their first daughter, Trinity, on December 23, 2010. Piper was born on September 9, 2013. Fatherhood was always his greatest and deepest joy. He worked hard for them and with them to help them grow and develop. He enjoyed spending time with them on bike rides, fort building, rough housing, Legos, kitty and animal play, and every little girl game they made up. They made frequent trips to the Zoo, the Science and Natural History Museum, and the Aquarium during winter months with short days. He was a beloved father who thought of his children first in all things.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Sam and Laura Amato, and William and Charlotte Mohn as well as many loved family and friends. He is survived by his partner Kacey Harris and his daughters Trinity Arabella Amato and Piper Ariana Amato. He is survived by his parents, Ronald Lee Amato and Ellen Hill Mohn Amato. He is survived by by his brother and his family: Samuel Mohn Amato and Victoria Williams Amato and their children Issac Peter Amato and Isabella Rose Amato. He is survived by his sister and her family: Charlotte Amato Gilpin and Chad Wade Gilpin and their children Cora Amato Gilpin and Clark Amato Gilpin. He is survived by too many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and dear friends to name. They were all loved. Truly and deeply.
