William T Babish

October 9, 1932 — January 14, 2013

Bill, 80, born October 9, 1932 in Denver, Colorado, passed January 14, 2013. He married Nonda Clawdus on September 29, 1961. William and Nonda lived and worked in Denver, Colorado before moving to Conifer, Colorado. Together, they had three children, Brett, Heath and Michelle, while living in Colorado. In 1974, they moved to Nebraska where their fourth child, Melissa was born. He owned and operated Bill's Marine until 1988. William and Nonda returned to the Denver area in 1995 where he lived until his death from a long battle with bone cancer. William loved fishing and living at Lake McConaughy and elk hunting. William and Nonda were able to spend time together traveling, which they were able to do quite a bit of. Bill also enjoyed his children and grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his wife, Nonda, in May 2004. He is survived by his children, Brett Babish, Heath (Bonnie) Babish, Michelle (Shane) Nye, and Melissa (Jeff) Singer; grandchildren, Savannah Babish, Cassandra (Evan) Stark, Makayla, Haley, and Riley Babish, Kinley and Sheyden Nye, and Emma, Noah, and Gracie Singer; and sisters, Dorothy Kimbrell, Helen Breen, and Loretta Kersteins. Rosary followed by Funeral Mass, Friday, January 18, 2013, 9:30a.m., both at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3141 West 96th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado. Reception to follow. Interment, Friday, January 18, 2013, 1:00 PM, Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Michelle Nye, c/o Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229.
