In Loving Memory of William (Bill) Shelden

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Shelden, who passed on October 17, 2023, at the age of 62. Bill was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who left this world with his friendship, kindness, boisterous laughter, and unwavering love. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart and genuine spirit.

Bill shared a close bond with his parents, Bill Sr. and Georgine Shelden, his brother Robert, and his sister Beth. Together, they created a lifetime of cherished memories and experiences that will forever be treasured.

Bill was also a favorite uncle to his nephews, Reed and Spencer Shelden, and his niece, Ava Shelden. He was a source of inspiration and joy in their lives, and the bond they shared was truly special.

One of Bill's great passions was golf. He was an avid golfer, albeit not a good one; and while the tees, fairways and greens were his happy places, the deep rough, the ponds, the woods, the sand traps, and grass lands were not. His love for the game was infectious, and he often shared rounds of golf with friends and his brother, creating lasting memories on the course.

Bill was a giant presence. He was known for his thunderous speaking voice, his booming laughter, and great sense of humor.  He lit up any room that he entered, yet could be heard approaching long before he was seen.

Bill's genuine kindness and compassion touched everyone he met. He had an uncanny ability to make people feel at ease, and his sense of humor brought laughter and joy to those around him. He was the type of person who would go to great lengths to help a friend in need, making him a true source of comfort and support.

A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on November 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, located at 5303 E. County Line Rd, Littleton, CO 80122. All who knew and loved Bill are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity or cause of your choice in Bill's memory. Bill had a big heart, and he would have appreciated any act of kindness in his honor.

Bill's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to inspire us all. May he rest in peace.
