William Ciancio was born in Welby, Colorado on November 12th 1923 to William and Theresa Ciancio. He lost his father at an early age and from his mother learned the value of hard work and a strong faith. He had one brother, Edward, who was his life-long friend and business partner. Bill enlisted in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Europe where he served as a technician in the Engineer Aviation Battalion. Always the ""snappy dresser"", it comes as no surprise that he met the love of his life, Eva May Graham, while shopping at Cottrell's where Eva worked. They were married on April 20, 1952. They had been married 59 years when Eva passed away in 2011. Family was always first and foremost to Bill. He was a devoted husband and loving father to his six children; Nick, Lynette, Jeannine, Tony, Denise and Joe. His ten grandchildren; Domenick, Brooke, Willie, Shara, Joe, Anthony, Emily, Nicholas, Raechel and Seth, referred to him as ""Papa"". He will always hold a special place in each of their hearts. Bill was a hard-working, honest entrepreneur who successfully started and grew several Denver businesses including a flower shop, liquor store and beverage distribution company. Bill was a devout Catholic, a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church for over 50 years. Bill continued to attend and usher Mass until his death. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 10AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham, Thornton. Entombment Mount Olivet Cemetery.
