William Judkins Clark passed away March 20, 2010 in Denver, CO after a lengthy and graceful battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Savannah, Ga. on July 21, 1924 to parents Reuben Grove Clark and Katherine Judkins Clark, and raised in Albany, N.Y. A graduate of the Woodberry Forest School and Yale University, where he sang with the Whiffenpoofs and was a member of Skull and Bones, he was a pilot who saw combat in the Pacific with the Army Air Force in WWII. His business career included significant roles at Owens-Corning Fiberglas and CIBA-GEIGY, and he was a real estate entrepreneur in Pawley's Island, SC. Generous with both time and resources, he is remembered with love by friends, family, and the many who felt his warmth and charity. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Thompson Clark, and his brothers Reuben and Holland. He is also survived by his three children: William Judkins Clark Jr., Catherine Clark Shopneck, Mary Clark Talbot, all of Denver, six grandchildren: Fraser, Adam, and Will Clark, Andy and Chris Shopneck and Betts Talbot and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in the auditorium at Parkplace in Denver, CO on Tuesday, April 6th at 3:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the St. Augustine's Chapel on the Vanderbilt University Campus, Nashville, TN., Saturday, April 17 at 11:00 AM.
