William Blaine 'Bill' Clayton

August 15, 1959 — May 28, 2012

52, of Littleton. Preceded in death by his father William R. Clayton. Son of Carole N. Clayton; Brother of Linda (Brent) Corrigan; Uncle of Brent, Blake, Kaci & Kimi Corrigan. Memorial Service Thursday, June 7, 10:30 am, Light of Christ Anglican Church, 4000 West Yale Avenue, in Denver. Bill grew up in Alexandria, Indiana and moved to Antioch, Illinois his senior year in high school where he lived until shortly after his dad passed away in 1998. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He lived on a channel between two lakes in the chain of lakes area in Antioch, where he served as ""everyone's friend"" as they always stopped at his place to gather and celebrate life (it was amazing how many people Bill knew and how everyone enjoyed being around him). Bill had numerous fishing adventures with friends to the wilds of Canada / Minnesota, several with his father. Shortly after his father passed away, Bill moved to Littleton to be close to his mother. He bought a house that was within a mile of her, which allowed him to care for her beyond what any mother would dream of as he visited with her every day. His dog Bailey was treated better than most children and went with him everywhere. He arranged sleep-overs to include his mother's dog a couple of times a week and loved watching the dogs play in back yards or at dog parks. Known to his family as ""Billy"" he shared many fun times with nieces and nephews. Children of friends always had the same admiration for Billy. Billy truly was a kid at heart which allowed him to relate to young people in a whole different fashion. Bill worked as a millwright, most recently at Lockheed Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Denver Rescue Mission, 3501 East 46th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80216. Please share your memories of Bill and condolences with his family by signing the guestbook.
