William Joseph Demel

January 10, 1932 – December 30, 2023

William “Bill” Demel, of Arvada, CO, passed away December 30, 2023 at the age of 91.  Bill was born January 10, 1932 to Adolf and Carrie Demel on the family farm just west of the town of Odin, KS.  Bill grew up and graduated High School in Odin, KS in 1949 before joining the Army and serving during the Korean war.  Bill was an Engineer with AT&T until his retirement in 1989.  In 1975 he married Eileen Kane, they were happily married until her death in 2011.

Bill is survived by his brother: Jerry Demel (Deanna); 2 children: Michael Kane (Sandra) and Laura Wyscaver (Tom); 11 grandchildren: Patrick Kane (Terri), Shawna Kane, Charlotte Wilder (Dave), Tamara Pascoe (Josh), Tom Wyscaver, Erin White (Brendan), Dylan Wyscaver (Kristen), Melissa Kane, Kendra Kane, Brenna Gacnik (Jason);  16 great grandchildren: Isaac Kane, Olivia Kane, Nicholas Wilder, Julianna Wilder, Alexander Wilder, Jonah Pascoe, Mallory Pascoe, Jacob Wyscaver, Katie White, Laura White, Benjamin Wyscaver, Bella Wyscaver, Remington Hawkins Kane, Montgomerie-Anne Hawkins Kane, Deveraux Hawkins Kane, Greyden Kane; Bill is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf & Carrie; 4 sisters, Bernadine Moeder, Cecilia Schneweis,  Evelyn Juno, and Eleanor Reif; 1 brother, James Demel; 2 sons, Jack and Terence and 2 daughters, Mary and Teresa, and his beloved wife Eileen.

Services to be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 12735 W 58^th Ave, Arvada, CO 80002 on January 22, 2024 beginning with the Rosary at 10:00 am; Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.
