It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William J. Dickensheet, born on July 22, 1943, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 79 after a battle with stage 4 prostate cancer. He was the beloved husband of Barbara, who predeceased him, and the father of Everett, who also predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter, Christine Dickensheet, and son-in-law, Skip Ritter.

After serving in the United States Army, William began his career as a police officer. However, later in life, he discovered his true passion for auctioneering and founded Dickensheet & Associates, Inc. in 1983. As the founder and owner of the company, William was instrumental in helping to build the auction industry in Colorado over the last 40 years. He was a driving force behind the company's success, and his contributions to the industry were invaluable. Dickensheet & Associates, Inc. continues to thrive today as a testament to his hard work and dedication.

William will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and generous man who always put the needs of others first. His dedication to his profession and his unwavering commitment to excellence will continue to inspire those who knew him.

The funeral service for William J. Dickensheet will be held on April 21st, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Ft Logan Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236, staging area B. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects to this remarkable man.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society to help support cancer research and patient care, as well as to TUCC Foundation C/O Richard Heppe, MD, 2777 Mile High Stadium Circle, Denver, CO 80211, as they were the ones who treated William as he was fighting his cancer.

We hope that William's memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to all those whose lives he touched.
