William Dravland

August 31, 1996 — February 23, 2023

William Robert Dravland, age 26, died on February 23, 2023 in Parker, Colorado.

William came into this world on August 31,1996 in Denver, Colorado. His parents, Mark Dravland and Molly Simington, named their son after his maternal grandfather with strict instruction that he should never be referred to as “Billy Bob”. Without fail, friends and family would use the moniker to tease Mark and Molly but to the world their son was known as Will.

Will graduated from Horizon High School in 2015. He was naturally athletic and participated in every sport he could find from wrestling to lacrosse. With encouragement from his stepfather and father, Will discovered his love for ice hockey at the age of four. He played with  the Hyland Hills Jaguars for 14 years and the High Plains Hockey League during high school. Will was able to play on several different travel teams, which enabled him to explore different parts of the United States and the most desired destination for all young hockey players, Canada.

Will was passionate about any hobby that allowed him to burn off his limitless energy. From an early age he was biking, skateboarding, four wheeling, wakeboarding, riding motocross, horseback riding and snowboarding. He didn’t just participate in these activities; He pushed their limits and mastered any flip, jump or trick that could potentially terrify his mother. It is no surprise that Will also picked a trade that met the same criteria, welding.

Will is survived by his parents Mark Fredrick Dravland, Molly Kathleen Simington and Michael William Weber; his brother, Trevor Dravland, and sisters, Grace and Elly Weber, all of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Eleanor Louise (Pepler) McNeill, of Westminster, and Michael’s parents, Ronald and Carol (Poston) Weber, of Longmont. He also leaves his aunt, Jacquelin “Annie” Weber, first cousins April Mandelke and Isabella Weber along with numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved pup, Perseus.

Will is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Robert “Augie” Simington, paternal grandparents, Orville Fredrick “Fred” and Ramona Jane “Monie” (Marquart) Dravland, his maternal uncle, William Thomas Simington, paternal aunt, Karen Leigh (Dravland) Cooper, as well as his great-grandparents, Jack Thomas and Eleanor Louise (Nittler) Pepler and William Martin and Roberta (Masden) Simington.
