Bill, 66, of Westminster, Colorado passed July 22, 2013. Graduating Mapleton High School in 1965, Bill served in the Colorado National Guard during the Vietnam Era. Bill graduated from George Washington University & American University with a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a former Secret Service Agent, where he protected Presidents Nixon and Ford. Bill became a licensed insurance agent with Hanegan Insurance Agency. Most recently, he owned Hanegan Realty for 26 years and was a real estate broker. Bill was a member of Denver Lodge #5 A.F. & A.M., Denver Consistory, El Jebel Shrine and belonged to Provost Guard and Noblecycle units. A dedicated and loving family member, he always put his family first. Husband of 40 years to Lori; father of Angela and Amanda (Anthony) Barela; grandpa ""popop"" and ""best buddy"" of Bryson and his ""sweetest little girl"" Mazzy; brother of Jim (Patti), Ron (Joye), and Danny (Tyra) Hanegan; uncle of nephews, Michael, Andy & Jonathan; and life-long friend and associate of Jim Bromley; and many close friends. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 11:00 AM, Northwest Church of Christ, 5255 West 98th Avenue, in Broomfield, Colorado.
