William Nelson, of Denver, Colorado, passed away November 28, 2016. Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane E. (Dellinger) Nelson and his daughter, Belinda Watson. He is survived by his daughters Christina, Angela and Pamela Nelson and his beloved grandchildren. Bill was born June 20, 1925 to parents Corbett Nelson and Ella Faye Eastep in the coal mining town of Nellis, West Virginia; he was extremely proud of his roots and his coal mining heritage. Bill proudly served his country during WWII as a Marine and retired from the military after serving in the Army Reserves. He worked for Gates Rubber Company in Denver for many years. He will be dearly missed by all. A Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 7 from 9:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 Horan & McConaty, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, Colorado, 80246. Burial will be held at 2:15pm, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado, 80235, Shelter ""C"". Please arrive at or before 2:00pm at Staging Area ""C"". Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corp and The Honor Bell Foundation.
