Passed away January 25, 2015. Bill Paris was born on October 11, 1948, in Washington, D.C. As a 14-year old, Bill travelled west with a youth group for a tour of the Rocky Mountains' iconic and scenic places. Upon his return home, he announced that he would live in Colorado someday. Bill graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 1966. He returned that year to Colorado on a basketball scholarship to Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in information systems and math from the University of Maryland but then returned to Colorado to make it his permanent home. He received his MBA from the University of Colorado. Bill and his wife, Janet Harris, happily raised their sons, Chris Paris and Alex Paris. Bill coached many of his sons' soccer, baseball and basketball teams, and never missed his sons' games. Bill was active in the Catholic church, volunteering his time to teach CCD and serving on the parish council at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and helping families in need. He was an avid hiker and paddler, making many trips to the Tetons and the Snake River with his canoe, and he enjoyed discussing philosophy. He also had a fulfilling career as a financial modeling analyst and a developer of custom decision support software in the financial, banking, mining and cellular industries. Bill was much loved by his family and many friends. Bill is survived by his wife, Janet Harris of Denver, CO, sons Christopher Paris and Alexander Paris, both of Denver, CO, sisters Janine Paris of Ellicott City, MD, Dr. Carol Paris of Nashville, TN, Mary Pat Paris of Silver Spring, MD, and brother Christopher Paris of Frederick, MD, Don Harris and Colleen Harris, father-in-law and mother-in-law, both of Centennial, CO, Jil Inghram and Jody Roberg, sisters-in-law, both of Centennial, CO, and Scot Harris, brother-in-law of Littleton, CO, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl S. Paris and Maxine Paris Strieter, and brother Michael Paris. Funeral Mass, Saturday, February 7, 2015, 10:30 am, Christ the King Catholic Church, 830 Elm Street, Denver. Reception will follow the Mass.
