Jason St., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bill was born in Blencoe, Iowa to Archie and Edith Perkins. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1947. On October 22, 1954 he married Betty Reagan in St. Mary's Church in Littleton, Colorado. Bill was a veteran of the Korean conflict having received two purple hearts during his 2 years of service in the Army. After returning from Korea, he was employed as a stock helper at Montgomery Wards and later worked in the Print Shop, where he met Betty. During his 46 year career at Wards, Bill's hard work, honesty, and integrity lent itself to working in upper management positions. Bill had a great life and tremendously enjoyed his retirement. He and his wife Betty spent many years traveling to Tucson, Arizona to watch the Rockies during spring training and relished their time roaming around the west camping in their travel trailer. He was a member of the Englewood Elks and volunteered many hours there where he especially enjoyed helping decorate for the holidays. Bill played basketball and football in his youth and was an avid Bronco fan. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his friends, children and grandchild. Bill is survived by his wife Betty of 59 years; two daughters, Darlene Kuehn and Diana (Bill) Popish; one son Don (Jill) Perkins; one grandchild, Hope Perkins; two brothers, Larry (Darlene) Perkins and Bob (Elsie) Perkins; one brother-in-law, Matt (Mickey) Reagan, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his son Dean Kenneth, his parents Archie and Edith, his grandparents, and his brother Kenneth. Bill was a loving father, husband grandfather and friend to all. His kindness, laughter, humor, and presence will be greatly missed.
