William Webster Harris, PhD

March 7, 1939 — May 1, 2010

Dr. Harris, 71, of Parker, Colorado peacefully passed away at his home on May 1, 2010. He received a BS degree in Business Management in 1963 and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University in 1977. He attended USAF pilot training school from 1963-1964, and spent ten years as an Air Force pilot during the Viet Nam era. While in Viet Nam he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with one Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC) and the Air Medal with sixteen OLC's. Bill was a practicing psychologist, working with adults and adolescents, from 1978-2007. He was an avid golfer and had a keen layman's interest in quantum physics and metaphysics. He enjoyed swimming, skiing, reading and spending time with his and his wife's children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Irene; son, Scott Kevin Harris and his wife Tisha of Colorado Springs; daughter, Carin Dawn Palmer of Lakewood; step-daughters, Dawn M. Lando and her husband Sean of Highlands Ranch and Shelley J. Devening and her husband David of Highlands Ranch; and eight grandchildren. Celebration of Life honoring Bill will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:30 AM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado.
