William A. âBillâ Riaski, born March 27, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on October 24, 2017, after several months of failing health. Bill graduated from high school in Guthrie Center, Iowa and enlisted in the US Army as a Radar Repair Supervisor from 1957 to 1962. Following his military service, Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. He married Mary Carol Falcone of Plainfield, New Jersey in 1966 and moved to Irvine, California in 1972. In 1980, Bill was promoted and moved his family to Denver, Colorado. Billâs 35-year career with Johns Manville was devoted to sales and marketing assignments, corporate planning, sealing components and refractory products. Bill served as a consultant at Mexmil for five years and retired in 2007 at age 72. Bill enjoyed golfing, skiing, swimming, and travel. His passions also included entertaining and social events, picnics in the park with live music, lunch with the ROMEOâs, and relaxing at the beach. He enjoyed volunteer work and donated much of his time to The Academy for Lifelong Learning. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Mary Carol, his daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Wade Young, daughter Carol Landry, three grandchildren Lindsey, Andrew and Richard, and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at 5 pm at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 10 am at All Souls Catholic Church. A private burial will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift in honor of Bill may be made to Suncrest Hospice or Food for Thought.
