William ""Bill"" Lester Schultz

November 3, 1936 — July 20, 2019

Bill Schultz, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on July 20, 2019.

Bill is survived by his wife Patricia, his children and step-children; Bill Schultz [Celeste Schultz], Vi Schultz, Ron Schultz, Sarah Ellis, Scott Schultz [Nuch Schultz], Pete Schultz, Sami Luif [John Luif], Diana Reynolds, Jerry Marudas [Barbie Marudas], 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Born in 1936 to Ella and Lester Schultz in Dearborn, Michigan, Bill had several careers including auto mechanic, over-the-road driver, construction, and Denver firefighter. He was a superb handyman who was always working on a project at home or for a friend.

His love for animals ran deep, especially for his dogs (Toto, Shadow, Sparky, and Peanut). His day always began with his walks at Bear Creek Lake Park or The Stone House.

Although not always an outwardly religious man, he became more so in recent years. He was a hard worker who instilled strong ethics in all that knew him. In addition to working hard, he played just as hard. He had a strong sense of adventure and truly enjoyed hunting, motorcycle and ATV riding in beautiful places. He was happiest outside, in nature.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227.
