William ""Bill"" Sheppard

William Sheppard, 70, of Thornton, CO passed away at home on July 13, 2018. Born to Royce and Dorothy (Barman) Sheppard on March 10, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL.

Bill graduated from East St. Louis High School and served in the US Army Reserves. He married his loving wife Carol on June 10, 1972. He began his career as a letter carrier in Kansas and transferred to and retired from the Westminster, CO post office. In 1995, Bill's love of bowling opened a new chapter in his life. With the help of his partner Glenn, they opened G&B's Pro Shop. He truly enjoyed everything about bowling including coaching, supporting the local youth bowling organizations and competing in USBC tournaments. Among his accomplishments are bowling a perfect 300 game with both his left and right hand. He also loved traveling, baseball, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol; their son Brian Sheppard and his wife Melodi; his sister Janet Vernetti and her husband Randy; three nephews; and many close friends.
