William Gerald Skulley

June 30, 1945 — August 22, 2023

Aurora Colorado

William Gerald Skulley Jr was born in Tonopah, Nevada, on June 30, 1945, to Marjorie Boundy and William Gerald Skulley. Bill grew up in Watertown, Massachusetts. He married Joan Kummet on July 1, 1967. He is survived by his two sons, William Gerald Skulley III (wife Kathryn) and Christopher Michael Skulley (wife Michelle); three grandchildren, Lauren, Claire, and Logan; and his brother Michael (wife Susan) and sister Marjorie.

Bill served in the Air Force from 1966 to1970. He worked for 47 years as a computer operator, a computer programmer, and finally as a contingency planner. His retirement years were spent volunteering at Wings over the Rockies Museum and Denver International Airport. Bill was among the first volunteers at DIA, giving tours before the airport officially opened and then as an ambassador helping travelers find their way around the airport until COVID 19 ended that opportunity.

Bill was active in parish life throughout his life. He served as an altar boy, sang in choirs as a child and an adult, was a Eucharistic minister, and an usher.

Bill left this earthly life on August 22, 2023. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA  22116-7023.
