It is with great sorrow, that we announce the passing of William Whiting. After fighting a very courageous battle with cancer, William passed on July 12th, 2022, surrounded by family in his home. From the moment he was born, on September 13, 1970, Bill, as he was known by everyone, had an unforgettable presence. Every room he went into, every conversation he had, left an impression that you would never forget. To him, family was everything. No matter what you may not have, you will always have family. He was an adoring husband, and proud father. From bragging about his children, to looking for an excuse to flirt with his true love. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Lenore. His children Jessica, Christopher, and Elizabeth. To him, anything could be solved with your family, and no mountain was ever one you would face alone. From his mother Barbara’s endless caring love, to his sister Luci’s witty advice. There was always someone to guide you along the way. He was preceded by his father LeRoy. Who’s passing gave him the wisdom, that truly humbled him, and pushed him forward, towards the man he always wanted to be. He was true to the idea of following your own path, in your own time, and you will always end up exactly where you need to be. From, graduating college at 40, to continuing on to grad school at 50. You can always change your mind. It’s never too late to see where this life can take you. To him, a hobby could be anything, from listening to football games on the radio, (with a perfect ability to know exactly what was happening on the field), to reading textbooks before bed. Or, taking pictures of flowers to send to someone because, “they looked pretty, I thought you might like them”. He was a man of staying true to your morals, and knowing that no matter how lost you are, you can always come back home and back to yourself. He was truly the calm amongst a storm. A humble giant who changed every life he passed for the better.
“Live, travel, adventure, bless, and don’t be sorry.”
With love,
The Whitings
