William N. Wilkes, Jr.

William N. Wilkes, Jr. passed away peacefully on November 1, 2015 in Denver. He was born on December 25, 1946 in Miami, FL to Cora Bell & William Wilkes, Sr. Throughout his life, William worked as a pipe fitter for fire system installations. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed the Colorado mountains. He is survived by his wife, Karen Wilkes; daughter, Norma Wilkes; son, Tony Wilkes; step-daughter, Nicole (Chris) Raines; step-son, Douglas (Shari) Burton; grandchildren; Joshua, Brittney & Alec Wilkes; step-grandchildren, James Robert, Justine, Sydni & Liam Burton, Miranda Hayes, Kassidy & Brody Dale Raines and Bailey Brumbaugh; great grandchildren, Elaina & Jaylynne; sisters, Salimah (Sam) Gillani and Janet (David) Reed; sister-in-law, Barbara Hause; as well as several additional friends and family members. An informal memorial service will take place at the home of Norma J. Wilkes, 1350 S. Idalia St., Unit A, Aurora, CO 80017 beginning at 3:30 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denver Hospice (8299 E. Lowry Blvd., Denver, CO 80230) in memory of William N. Wilkes, Jr.
