Willis ""Bill"" Robert Bealmear, 86, passed away March 16, 2009, in Aurora, Colorado. Bill was born May 11, 1922, in Marceline, Missouri, a son of Willis Elmer and Edith Randal Bealmear. In the early 1940's, while attending Church at the Central Christian Church in Denver, Bill met Dolores Lorraine Johnson. They were married on February 10, 1943. They have remained active members in their church where Bill has enjoyed singing in the choir. Bill served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, fighting in many well known battles. Following his service in the military, he became a firefighter with the Denver Fire Department, serving as a Captain. He retired after more that 24 years as a firefighter. Besides his love of the outdoors which involved boating and fishing, Bill was a member of the Masonic Berkeley Lodge #134. He was also a member of EL Jebel Shriners of Denver. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Dolores Bealmear, of Denver; three children: Robert Bealmear, Denver; Julie Lilly (and her husband, Jim), Monument, CO; Herbert Bealmear, Denver; two grandchildren, Lisa Blair and Kevin Harrell; and four great-grandchildren, Cory, Tyler, Justin and Emily Harrell. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dave Harrell; and his sister, Eileen. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2:15 p.m., at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 So.
