Wilma P. (Woodring) Wells 4/19/1920 - 11/11/2006 Born in Richards, MO, Wilma was the daughter of Jefferson Tobias and Anna (Hensley) Woodring. After graduating from Richards High School in 1938, Wilma moved to Colorado and worked as a Harvey Girl in La Junta, CO, where she met William B. Wells. They were married in Syracuse, KS on Sept. 3, 1943. Preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Billy Wells and daughters Cissy Wells and Jean Lance, brothers Ernest, Eldon and Everett Woodring. Survived by sons Ron (Judy) of Lakewood and Larry (Bev) Wells of Arvada and daughter Judy Jorgensen of Scott City, KS. Also sisters Thelma Stancer and Faye Steele of Fort Scott, KS and Fern Keele of Grain Valley, MO, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandson and one Great Great Granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, she was active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, PTA, Extension Homemakers, VFW, American Legion and Library Club, holding various offices in these organizations. She also enjoyed bowling, sewing, lunches with friends and family and traveling with the Senior Friends. After retiring from Jefferson County Library, she volunteered sewing skills for Children's Hospital of Denver.
