Winifred Helen Jennings

Winifred Helen Jennings, 95 of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully, December 10, 2018. She was born on November 15, 1923 to her parents Harrison George Giebhardt and Loretta Agnes Kenney in Brooklyn, New York.

Winifred was a Homemaker for many years. She worked diligently to ensure that all of her family was taken care and that everything stayed well within order.

Winifred served on the Arapahoe County Board committee, Heather Gardens HOA committee as President, Budget committee and on the Board of Directors in Pocono County. She was also able to do what few have, by graduating with her Bachelor's Degree at the age of 85.

Winifred's character would be best described as spunky and energetic. During her free time, she enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, dancing, cross stitching, latch hooking and was also involved in Frolic’s club.

Winifred is preceded in passing by both of her Parents, first Husband: William Fransis McCarron, and Husband: Matthias John Jennings, Daughters: Rosemary (Gary) Mack and Patricia (Andy) Bivonia.

She is survived by Children: Gerard (Candis) McCarron, George (Carla) McCarron, Joseph (Marie) McCarron, Kathleen (Tom) Burns, and Thomas (Beverly) Jennings, Grandchildren: Nicholas McCarron, Cali McCarron, Will McCarron, Cassie Lincoln, Tim Burns, Mary Romfo, Patricia Geary, Jeanie Wenshau, Coleen Thornburg, Sean Jennings, Merri-lyn Stiansen, Michael Mack, and Ron Mack, Sister: Doris Beddow.

In honor of Winifred, a Visitation will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm a Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (11150 East Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014), followed by a Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass, 10:30am, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (19099 E Floyd Ave, Aurora, CO 80013). Reception to follow, 12:30PM, at Rendezvous Restaurant at Heather Gardens (2888 S Heather Gardens Way, Aurora, CO 80014).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
