Yhalayea was born on July 19, 1997 in Gbarnga, Liberia. The name Yhalayea is a traditional Liberian name meaning, âIn Godâs handâ. Yhalayea was a respectful, humble and beloved son. He started school at Tow Gate Elementary, Vaughn Elementary, South Middle School, Gateway High, and UNC Greeley. Yhalayea was a hardworking, smart and dedicated 6â 5â young man. He was caring and friendly. His personality light up a dark room. He was loved deep down by his friends and family. He was daddyâs best friend. He enjoyed working with daddy doing constructions and mechanical works. He was always curious to learn. He loved playing basketball and committed to work-outs. Daddyâs first request to us as children when we started school was, âwill anybody ever give me the bumper sticker that says, I AM A PROUD PARENT OF AN HONOR STUDENTâ. And Yhalayea did it. He went on with a promise of graduating from college with honor. Very unfortunately, he met his demise on June 21, 2017 when he got drowned in a lake in Chicago in front his parents, brother and sister during a family vacation. We love and missed dear brother and son. May your soul rest in perfect peace Yhalayea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
