Yvette Darlene Kent, age 62, passed away on September 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kentucky, Yvette was the eldest of six siblings and grew up on a farm, where she developed her strong work ethic and deep appreciation for family, community and knowledge.
A proud alumna of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Yvette pursued her passion for design, eventually becoming a talented interior designer in Denver, Colorado. Beyond her professional achievements, she was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Ariel Kent and Ashley Monahan. As a stay-at-home mom, she imparted invaluable life lessons and unwavering support to her daughters, nurturing them with love and acceptance.
Yvette's faith played a central role throughout her entire life, and she was actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she forged lasting friendships and touched many lives. Despite facing numerous health challenges throughout her life, Yvette's resilience shone through as she persevered with strength, grace, and humor.
