Yvonne Rosalie Borisch Costello, 84, of Denver, CO lost her second battle with cancer on September 2, 2022. Yvonne was born January 30, 1938 in Wauwatosa, WI, the daughter of Clarence Borish and Rosalie Robar. She graduated from Mount Mary College in 1960, where she was affectionately known as “Bo”. Yvonne embraced her love of travel and worked as a teacher in California before moving to Colorado to complete her Masters work at DU and continue teaching.
Yvonne engaged in volunteer work with Most Precious Blood Parish, Junior Great Books, the Marthas, the MPB Social Society, with The Society of St Vincent de Paul MPB and many other organizations. Yvonne returned to teaching and taught for many years at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. After her retirement, Yvonne increased her volunteer work and touched many lives. She enjoyed reading, spending time with friends, going to the theater, and being active. She spent time biking, hiking, playing tennis, and skiing. In recent years she took up pickleball.
Yvonne is survived by her brother, Doug Borisch (Rick,) Omaha, NE and her three children Virginia Brown (Scott), Louisville, CO; James Costello (Lisa) Parkville, MO; and Trish Iannacito (Mark), Fort Collins, CO. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Zoie, Mitchell, Liam, and Nyx. Yvonne was preceded in death by both parents and her older brother, Clint.
The Rosary/Vigil is on Wednesday, 9/14 at 6:30 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church (MPB,) 2200 S Harrison St, Denver, 80210. The Funeral Mass is at 10am on Thursday, 9/15/22 with the reception to follow in the St. Steven's Parish Hall. The internment is at 2:30pm at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO that same day.
