Zeeda Alice Dixon

Born in Tulsa, OK on March 16, 1928, and died on March 15, 2011 in Denver, where she had lived for 48 years. Zeeda had a great sense of humor and adventure. She was loved by many and fondly known as ""Mo"" to her children and their friends. Zeeda attended Tulsa University and was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She greatly enjoyed her career and co-workers at Cherry Creek Schools where she retired after working for 25 years. She loved to travel and enjoyed gardening. Zeeda had a bright mind, was an avid sports fan, a consummate reader, and loved to give her report and opinion of the daily news. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lura Gebhart, and her baby brother Dale of Tulsa, OK. Zeeda is survived by her sister Mary Barron of Tulsa, OK; brother James Gebhart of Columbus, OH; and her three children Steve (Judy) Dixon of Salida, CO; Susie (Richard) Oliver of Centennial, CO; and Alisann (Ben) Marshall of Dallas, TX. Zeeda had nine grandchildren: Amy, Michael (Bianca), and Justin Guadagnoli, Bryan Oliver, Tyler, and Molly Dixon, Carly (Dave) Gonzalez, Andrea and Natalie Marshall. She also had two great grandchildren: J.P. Dixon and Chase Oliver. We will greatly miss her wit, perseverance and courage. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 23 2011 at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Tulsa, OK at Memorial Garden at a later date.
