Armand Sedgeley

October 21, 1921 — October 21, 2021

Lakewood

Armand Sedgeley was called home by our lord 10/21/2021 on his 100th birthday.  Armand had been failing recently and was clearly determined to reach his century milestone.  He was born in Canton, Maine to Clarence and Mildred Sedgeley.  He was preceded in death by his sister Jean and his brothers Albert and Richard.  Armand married Anne Wattenbarger in 1944 and they were married for 74 years until her death in 2018.  Armand was a B-17 bombardier during WWII, completing 37 missions, and was highly decorated for meritorious service by both American and European governments.  He graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology as a civil engineer and enjoyed a rewarding career in the Army Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies.  Armand’s primary hobby interests were travel and gardening.  He leaves behind four sons Bill (Sharon), David, Jim (Linda), John (Susan), three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The family acknowledges Marilyn Bourque who brought Dad into her home and cared for him in the final months of his life in a wonderful act of kindness.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2:15 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery. If attending the service, please meet at Staging Area "C" at 2:00 pm where Fort Logan National Cemetery staff will lead the procession to the shelter for the service.
