Clive Russell Hadden, 91, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully August 5, 2021. Clive was born June 15, 1930, in Duchesne, Utah to Francis Dean and Rowena Eliza Justesen Hadden.
Clive married Shirley Jean Alfreds in 1955. Originally living in Salt Lake City, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada, Clive and Shirley moved to Denver, Colorado in 1958 and raised their family there. Clive was blessed with five children and is survived by his first wife Shirley and their children, Ron, Tammy Wonnacott (Richard), Randy, Ben (Melissa), and Greg (Jenni). Later divorced, Clive married LaRue Morrison Jones of Salt Lake City, Utah, and through LaRue’s profession as a travel consultant they were able to travel the world. LaRue passed away in July of 2006. Clive is survived by LaRue’s children, Debbi Evans (Kim Thompson), Pam Landgren (Lynn), David Jones (Jane), Diane Olson (Kurt), and Christy Baxter (Rich). He is also survived by his brother Stan of Bountiful, Utah and brother in-law Don Cathcart of Reno, Nevada.
Clive served in the United States Marine Corps and went on to build his businesses in real estate and oil and gas. He loved the Colorado mountains as well as hunting, skiing, and his University of Colorado Buffaloes.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00am, on Thursday, August 26th, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 So. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO. Please gather in staging area ‘A’ by 9:45am.
A reception will follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 910 W Ridge Rd, Littleton CO 80120
