Craig Olmstead

Thomas Craig Olmstead was born June 19^th, 1951 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to Francis and Sue Olmstead. He went to be with his Lord Jesus on Dec. 18^th, 2019. He grew up in small town America, was raised by his mother, Sue and step father, Vernon and father, Francis and wife, Helen who all loved him very much. Craig loved North Carolina but when he visited friends at DU in the summer of 1975 he fell immediately in love with Colorado. He returned home packed his little car and headed back to Denver where he soon found work as a pressman at Woehrmeyer Business Forms and later at Denver Forms where his skills with both presses and people resulted in promotions to eventually VP-Manufacturing. In 1998 he moved to Adams McClure and Ennis where he rose to regional sales manager. Along the way he met Cindy who worked with him in the printing business. They were together for over 20 years and a few years after meeting on the day after Thanksgiving they married. Craig always told Cindy their anniversary was the day after Thanksgiving because that way he would never forget it! He didn't seem to know or care that this day would be a different day every year. Together Craig and Cindy are raising their grandchildren, Jonah (18), Julia and Justice (13).

Craig loved the mountains especially skiing which he learned after starting with Water skiing in North Carolina. Later his passion became golf and he had many golfing buddies. Craig loved the Broncos and also the Carolina Panthers. He was truly conflicted on that 50^th Super Bowl, but we think secretly rooting for the Broncos. He was what they call in the South "" a good old boy"" and here in Colorado a great guy who we all loved. He was a man of integrity whose word could always be trusted. Craig often said ""Always take the high road"". He is survived by his wife, Cindy, grandchildren Jonah, Justice, Julia, Josiah and Grace, brother Ronnie White and wife Faye, sister Robyn Wilholt and husband, Gordon, mother, Susan Lewter and many other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

In honor of Craig, a Memorial Service will take place 3:30pm, Friday December 27, 2019 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (5303 East County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122), reception to follow service.
