Curtis Fankhouser

1945 — January 1, 2021

Littleton

Curtis Dee Fankhouser, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the age of 76 on September 2, 2021.

Curt was born on April 13, 1945 in El Dorado, Kansas.  However, he spent most of his life growing up and settling in Colorado.  He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1967 with a Business Degree and spent the majority of his life in the Insurance Industry.  He was always very active in sports and continued throughout his life, especially taking up golf in his retirement years.

Curt met his future wife, Mariel, at a junior high dance and from that time on they spent the next 8 years dating and looking toward the day they could be married.  They were married in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on August 8, 1967.  His biggest priorities in life were his wife and family.  He looked forward to retirement when they could travel and he could enjoy his grandchildren and their activities.

Curt is survived by his wife, Mariel of 54 years, his two daughters, Cori Ann Mossel (Eric), Erin Lyn Buelow (Dennis) and four grandchildren, Evan Tyler Mossel, Raegan Renae Mossel, Cora Lyn Buelow and Bryant Louis Buelow.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
