Dennis Murphy

Dennis Murphy, age 69, went to be with our Lord on May 11, 2021. Dennis had a wit that could nudge anyone into a smile. He loved Jesus, and loved people. As a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Dennis loved and gave with his whole heart. He grew up in Pennsylvania and Southwest Florida, serving in the United States Air Force before graduating from Wright State University in Ohio. Because of his love for the mountains, Dennis then moved to Colorado.

After retiring from his career at State Farm Insurance, he spent his time volunteering by serving those experiencing homelessness, working with men in incarceration, and at his church. An avid cyclist, Dennis was proud of the several bicycle tours and rides he completed with friends over the years, throughout Colorado and surrounding states. Dennis was a craft beer connoisseur, a fan of the Rockies, Broncos and several college sports teams, fond of good BBQ and road trips; but his true joy came from sharing these things with family and friends.

While he is at home with Jesus, Dennis will be dearly missed by his wife, daughter and sister, their families and his many friends.

A service to celebrate Dennis’s life will be held at Waterstone Community Church, 5890 S. Alkire St., Littleton, CO 80127 on June 12th at 11 AM.
