Pete O'Meara, a heavy-duty truck dealer and 2nd generation Denverite, passed away on August 5, 2021 at the age of 68.
Pete is survived by his daughter, Taryn Aldretti (Patrick) and siblings, Alanna Kimmel, Molly Sierra, Kevin O'Meara, Maureen Hogue, and Mark O'Meara, and was Good Ole Uncle Pete to many nieces and nephews. His wife Nancy predeceased him in 2017.
Pete was the 3rd of 6 children, born in Denver on August 17, 1952, to Eugene P. and Nancy J. O'Meara. He graduated from Regis Jesuit High School, then Colorado State University in 1974 with a degree in business. Pete joined the family business, Mountains State Ford Truck Center, working with and being mentored by his dad. He eventually moved on to running the dealership. On September 24, 1983 he married Nancy and a few short years later he welcomed his only child, Taryn.
Pete was a wonderful father, die-hard Broncos fan and guitar enthusiast. He enjoyed Sunday football games, and even had the opportunity to go to Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004. He had great guitar collection and enjoyed playing with his sister Maureen. He also loved shooting sporting clays and tinkering in his garage where he stored his classic cars. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.
