Gabriel Centeno

Gabriel Konrad Centeno, age 18, died in Lakewood on June 9, 2021 in a motor vehicle accident.

Gabriel was born on May 13, 2003 in Chicago, Illinois.

The last four years of his life he lived in Lakewood, CO and just recently graduated from Lakewood High School.  He has been involved in his school art program where he focused on theater and choir.

Outside of school he was pursuing an acting career in the movie industry. He studied and auditioned for several TV and Film productions. Throughout his life he traveled the country as well as abroad. He engaged in different after school programs painting, junior lifeguard, sword fighting and in most recent years acting for film.

After moving to Colorado, in his free time, he often hiked with his mother in various places in Colorado as well as the adjacent states.

Gabriel brought so much love and joy not only to his family but also to those who were around him.

He will always be remembered as a young man with an amazing sense of humor who would lit up the room he walked in to. He was very caring and his kindness had no boundaries.

Gabriel is survived by his adoring mother, Martyna Centeno, his father and stepmother Andres and Olga Centeno and their daughters Romina and Ivana Centeno, his loving grandmother Teresa Centkowska who has devoted 15 years of her life to care and raised him while traveling between countries, his grandfather and his step grandmother Jacek and Jolanta Centkowski, his grandmother (abuelita) Elsa Centeno, his cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his grandfather Cesar Centeno.

The Celebration of Life service in remembering and honoring Gabriel will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10 a.m. MT at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home at 3101 S. Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80227.

Services will be followed by a reception for family and friends at the Link Recreation Center at 1295 S. Reed St. Lakewood, CO 80232 starting at 11:45 a.m. MT.
