On April 28, 2022, Gerald V. “Jerry” Hugo of Evergreen, Colorado, loving husband and father of two daughters, passed away at the age of 82. Jerry was born on February 21, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Catherine Verna Walters and Clarence Henry Hugo. Jerry attended St. Teresa Catholic School in Detroit and continued his studies at St. Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, IN.
On May 2, 1964, he married Jerry Eileen Dumas, and they were “Jerrys” for the next 58 years. They raised two daughters, Dana and Beth Anne (Casey). Jerry began working for the Mack Truck company in Detroit in 1968 and continued his sales and management career with Mack until his full retirement in 2012 when he sold his dealership, Colorado Mack Sales & Service.
Jerry found much happiness and laughter in his later years living out his dream to live on the ocean in Mazatlan, Mexico where they built a family home in 1999. He cherished his friendships, time on the El Cid golf course and deep-sea sport fishing on their boat “The Bulldog”.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Verna and his father, Clarence. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jerry, his two daughters, a son-in-law, two grandsons, two sisters Judi Rizzetto and Barbara Champlin as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 6th at 10 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2626 E. 7th Avenue Parkway, Denver.
